Dead projects, but projects which influenced later work:
FTS/Forth-- A simple Forth for Linux. Will almost certainly merge with RetroForth. This Forth provided the basis for the Kestrel-2's ROM Forth image. Itself unfinished, that project booted and was somewhat usable, at least.Forth/4-- Based on FTS/Forth and RetroForth, this is a Forth system that runs under the L4 microkernel.
Currently active Forth-related projects:
J1/Ace-- An FPGA-hosted Forth computer inspired by the Jupiter Ace. Instead of a Z-80 processor at its core, it will use a slightly enhanced version of the J1 Forth CPU. I hope to have it completed in time for Maker Faire 2011.J1/Ace Forth-- System software for the J1/Ace. I hope to have it completed in time for Maker Faire 2011. Based on FTS/Forth and Kestrel-2 Forth, from my previous unfinished projects.
A Bi-weekly Skype Get-together?
Just an idea that Chris Walton and I had, where the folks of ##forth and #c4th-ot can get together online and chat for 30 minutes to an hour or so. The software we've agreed to use is Skype. Anyone interested?
