Brett's Bike
I'm currently riding a steel-framed DiamondBack Master road bike designed for racing. As such it only has a double chainring in the front, forcing me to grind out the steeper hills slower with more wear and tear on my knees and legs. I like the bike a lot, however, and I'm not sure I'm going to change it, even to go to Colorado, against much advice from other bikers. I met one biker on my way South from Freeport, Maine, who said I should definitely change it before I get to the Appalachain Mountains. We'll see. My Aunt Marilyn gave me this old but quality bike about five years ago when she upgraded her road bike, and although I just put hundreds of dollars into this this Spring, it has been a kind and continuous gift. Thank you Marilyn!
