Manchester, NH

Although it was a very tiring day, and parts of my body that don't usually bother me are painful, I traversed about 70 miles of New Hampshire today! I ended up leaving Walpole, NH later than I would usually start a bike trip. I left at 9:00 A.M. I like leaving early as the middle of the day is usually hotter, contains more traffic, and leaves less time left in the day to reach the destination.
I made several stops today, and in fact felt like I was stopping every five miles, though I know it wasn't that often, especially over the first few hours. One stop was actually neat, though. I stopped at a lake near Pitcher Mountain (I think), on Route 123 (I think). It was so pretty. There was one canoe out there, and I thought of Rebekah: I'm sure there were LOTS of good fish out there in that lake! I didn't see any fish from the shore, but I did spot four frogs, one leech, and lots of dragonflies and assorted other insects.
Today was fairly uneventful, much like yesterday just longer. However, on a solo bike trip, uneventful isn't that bad! It still allows for hours of introspection, and a few cute sights. Most of all, it means that I am still in one piece and safe. I have heard the words "be safe" about a million times in the past few days! I'm doing my best.
